FATS SLIGHTLY EASIER STOCK SALE AT MATAWHERO Store sheep at the MaUiwhero stock sale to-day were firm at late rates, but lambs were, easier. The fat sheep values were slightly easier. Trices for pigs were well up to recent, rates. STORE SHEEP. There was a large entry of storesheep. Up to lunch 5865 had been offered. Hie market was firm for ewes and easier for lambs. A pen of ewos up to 5 years in great order made 19s 6d, a pen of 4, 6. and 8-tooth, about fat, made £1 0s 3d, and sound mouthed ewes about 16s 9d. Prices were: Ewes: 32 4, 6 and 8-tooth. good size and fat (p). £1 Os 3d ; 152 fair mouthed and conditioned, 12s; 253 5 and 6yr., with size, and condition (p), 15s 9d ; 136 sound mouthed, good frame and condition, 14s 9d; 1.79 4 to syr., good store condition fp), 14s; 148 up to syr., guaranteed full size and condition (p), 19s 6d : 1.27 4-tooth and five yr.. fairly good order (p), 16s 9d; 525 sound mouthed, big frame, and great order (p). 16s 9d; 124 syr.. good order. 16s 4d; 296 6yr., strong skin, high country (p), 15s 9d. Little interest was taken in the sale., and prices were slightly easier. One pen of ewes made 18s 3d, mostly 4 and 6-th. Prime wethers made to £1 7s 6d, this price being obtained for a line sold on account of Mr. I). P. Cameron for the showground funds. Ewes made from 14s to 16s 7d. second 1 grade ewes, 13s 3d to 14s 3d. Trices : 3 prime heavy wethers. £1 7s 6d; 12 ewes, 16s; 2 wethers, Down, £1 Is 9d; 55 ewes (p), 15s 7d; 28 ewes, 4 and 6-looth (p), 18s 3d: 1 lamb, heavy (p), £1 Is: 2 lambs (p). 16s; 2 ewes (p), 14s; 1 woolly ewe, 18s; 1 woolly wether, £1 4s. Second grade: 10 owes (p), 14s; 4 ewes (p), 13s 3d; 4 ewes (p). 14s 3d. PIGS. The entry of pigs totalled 50. Trices were well up to recent values. .Heavy porkers sold up to C2 lis, weaners to 12s, and good slips 14s 6d. Prices: 3 white heavy porkers, big and good finish, C2 7s; 2 similar,' but primer, £2 lis; 1 do., lighter, £1 16s; 5 weaners, medium size and good condition, 8s 6d; 3 weaners, fairly good, 9s 6(1; 3 good sized and conditioned weaners, 12s; 3 good Tarn, slips, 14s 6d; 3 do., fairly good, 13s; 11 small hungry slips, 10s and 7s 6d; 12 Tail). slips, fair order, 8s to 10s 6d. One portion of breeding ewc.s which were despatched recently from Poverty Bay for ,t;ie Waikato was offered for sale at the Frankton yards on Wednesday. This was a line of 3900, which met with keen competition at nn increase on previous Waikato rates. la reporting on the sale, Messrs.
