STOPPING ORGANISED CRIME WASHINGTON, Feb. 5. President Hoover announced tej'-day that, "at my urgent request," MajorGeneral CVosby, of the United States Army, beginning on March 21, will assume command of the police and allied services" in the district of Colombia as a "guarantee to official and unofficial residents and to the nation at large that the capital of the nation will be free of organised crime."
