NEW MILITIA UNIFORMS
DELAY IN S. AUSTRALIA
MINISTER IN A QUANDARY

The delay in granting approval for the now militia uniforms is causing comment. It is pointed out that the Minister of Defence faces it rpinn-' dary. The issue of new uniforms will mean scrapping others which cost £248 000, and if the Government's objective, .'13,000 enlistments, is reached the cost of the clothing to them will bo £210,000. Tims the saving of £IOO,OOO on camps this year will be offset by the cost of new uniforms and the scrapping of old ones tot ailing £458,000.
