WOOL SALES IN SYDNEY
SLIGHT RISE IN PRICES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Pr«ss Assn.l SY'DNKY, Feb. 5. At tho wool sale the'offerings totalled 9607 bales, of which 9594 were sold with exceptionally good competition from the Continental section, supported 'by the Bradford market. As compared with the closing rates of last, week, prices were par to 5 per cent, higher on all spinners' wools. Japanese buying was very restricted. Greasy merino realised 23ki. In accordance with advice 'from London under date Jan nary 31, Messrs. Dalgety and Co. state: "Af the London sheepskin sales 3350 bales were offered and 2335 bales .sold. Range of prices: Merino, throe-quartcii' to fulled woolleil 8d to PJd, quarter to half woolled ."id to H-hL short and shorn 4 hi to 6d; crossbred, threequarter to fall woolled, fine lOd to 12d, medium and coarse B|d to 10Jd; crossbred, quarter to half woolled, fine Sd to 10d, medium and coarse 7h\ to 0d; crossbred, short and shorn <*> 2 d to sd; lambs, 9d to lOJtl."
