Despite repeated adjournments of the inquest, and the fact that the police have taken In.'! statements and interviewed more than 1000 people, the authorities have failed to iind a due to the slayer of Mary Loaroyd, a young woman found dead after being terribly injured, at 11 key. The jury returned a verdict of wilful murder against some person or persons unknown. The evidence showed that the girl was subjected to terrible treatment afler death, apparently by tin unknown lover. The police are satisfied that robberv was not the motive.
