CANADA’S GREAT LOSS
LATE FINANCE MINISTER 20 YEARS IN PARLIAMENT (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 14, 10 a.m.) VANCOUVER, Nov. 13. There is widespread mounrning in Canada for the late Hon. J. Robb, Minister of Finance. No one in Canada’s public life enjoyed quite the same popularity. He was a Liberal and was the Government’s greatest personal asset. He had sat in Parliament for 20 years ami was never defeated at the polls. Ho had reduced the Budget, speech to 40 minutes, whereas it used to hi* a six hours’ effort. He was so vigorously honest, that he stood in a class by himself. No one ever had a harsh thing to say about him.
