ISOLATED CASE
THE LAWBEATH DISPUTE (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Regarding the agreement come to by the disputes committee at Wellington concerning the concessions asked for by the crew of the Lawbeath, the clause added that it was to be regarded as an isolated case. It is pointed out here that the wider issue involved, that all ships carrying phosphates from Nauru to New Zealand shall pay New' Zealand rates of wages, lias not been agreed to, and probably did not come within the scope of the committee.
