FIRST SALE OFFERING GISBORNE WOOL AT NAPIER As was predicted a few days ago, the offering of Gisborne wool at the first Napier salo of the season, to bo held on Monday, is very small indeed, the smallest tor some years. It is reported that some growers have sent their clips to Napier with instructions that they should not be offered in the first sale, otherwise the Gisborne quota lor Monday would have been considerably larger. The catalogue closed this morning, and from (retails of the offerings of Giswool received it is revealed that the total shipped from this port to he offered on-Monday is only 616, bales, compared with 1534 bales for the November offering last year, and 2218 for the previous November. The total wool in the catalogue was not available in Gisborne today, va«t recent reports from Napier indicate that the aggregate should not reach much more than SCOO bales, or less than half of the total at the November auction last year, when the ottering was 11,856 bales.
