A great'new highway crossing Canada. frfirn Hdlifax, Ndva, Scotia, to Vancouver, will be .one of the projects which Mr. J." H. Thomas, Lord Privy be»W v.iH discuss' with’ Air. Mackenzie King, the Canadian Premier,' when ho visits Canada *in August. It is understood that Mr. Thomas will inform Mr.'King; that tho British Gov: vernmeht is' willing to spend a certain sum of money to assist the undertaking in .order to provide work for British unemployed. The work would'take two-years, and it is believed that thousands of Englishmen would bo willing to accept wfirk on the undertaking.
