ROZELLE ROBBERY

SUSPECT ARRESTED SPECTACLE CASE CLuE (Received September 20, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, September 20. Detectives yesterday arrested a mail in connection with the robbery at Rozello on September 14, wlieif'a constable was shot during a chase. The robber dropped a spectacle case, and this led to his arrest. The case bore embossed on it the name of a New Zealand maker. A cable message was sent to the New Zealand police asking them to interview the optician who supplied the glasses, and ascertain the owner. A return cable message gave the name of a man who had served a sentence in New Zealand. He is an Australian, with a record here. Yesterday the police saw the man, and to allay his suspicions one simulated' drunkenness as the suspect approached. He was arrested and charged with shooting Constable Grinhani with intent to murder.
