HIS OWN PLANE

PRINCE OF WALES’ ENTHUSIASM (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) . LONDON, Sept. 10. Definite proof of the Prince of Wales’ enthusiasm for flying is the purchase of his own two-seater Oipsy Moth cruising plane, with a speed of from 85 to 90 miles per hour. The machine is provided with dual controls in order that the Prince may handle the machine in the air. It is stated that the Prince was anxious to have his own aeroplane for private flights, as lie hesitates to use the R.A.F. machine placed at his disposal, except for definite public engagements. When the Prince of Wales goes into residence at his new country house. “Fort Belvedere," at Virginia Water, he will have a private aeroplane landing ground at Smith's Lawn in Windsor Park, within a few minutes’ motoring of the residence, enabling him to join the aeroplane in comparative privacy.
