The Huntingdon is lixed to load at Gisborne about May 20. taking frozen meat and general cargo for London. The Norfolk has been scheduled to load id Gisborne about dune 10. taking frozen meat and general cargo for London.
The Rotorua is expected to leave Auckland late today for Tokonniru Bay. where she is due at 6 p.m. to-morrow to load frozen meat and general earg( for London. She is due at Gisborne on Saturday.

The Niagara left Vancouver for Sydney on May 1. arrives at Auckland on May 20, and sails tho same (lav for Sydney, where she is due on May 25. The Tahiti leaves Sydney for San Vrnneisvp o.u May 16. Wellington May 21. and arrives at San Francisco oii June 7.
The Makura leaves San Francisco for Sydney on May 15. arrives at Wellington oil June 3, and sails the next, day for Sydney, where she is due on June 8. 'The C. and I). Line steamer I'ort Victor arrived from Waikokopu at noon yesterday, but owing to the state of the seas in the roadstead sheltered at Young Nick's Head. As the weather showed no signs of moderating this morning, the vessel put to sea at 8 o’clock. The Awahou sailed at 6.40 p.m. oi. Saturday, and is due at Portland to-day 1.0 load cement. Gn completion she pro coeds to Auckland, where she is to take in general cargo. The steamer is ex peeted to leave the latter port to-morrow evening for Gisborne direct. The Putiki is at present on Hie patem slip at Wellington undergoing annual overhaul and survey. Her place in tin Wellington-Napier service will he maintained by the Mako, wlii.e the Welling ton-Gisliorno run will be. taken 'by the Koutumii. Both vessels leave Wellington to-morrow night for their respective ports. The Margaret W. from Gisborne, arrived at Auckland at 1.30 p.m. yester day. She sails again at midday tomorrow, and is due here, on Thursday morning.

THE WEATHER (Last Night’s Forecast). The intense anti-cyclone located yesterday over the South Tasman has moved on to southern New Zealand. A rather intense cyclone is centred north of Cape .Maria Van Diemen and is moving southwards. Winds: South to east winds, light' to moderate, south of Grey, mouth and Akaroa, moderate to strong thence northwards and reaching gale force in places. Seas rough north o! farewell Spit and Akaroa; elsewhere smooth to moderate. South-easterly winds in the Kastern lasman, light to moderate in the soi.tliern portion, with smooth to n oderate seas and strong in the northern portion, with rough seas. Weather mainly fair-in the western districts of the South Island and south of Akaroa; elsewhere cloudy to dull, with rain in ’most parts and some heavy falls in the north; cool temperatures, with some frosts in the south. The indications are for soulli-easterh winds, strong to gale. Stormy weather, with heavy rain and cold temperatures, is to he expected, with rivers rising shortly. Seas, very heavy ; tides good. The unseating of the present chairman of tiie Hawke’s Ray County Council, Mr, If. M. Campbell, M.P., from bis position as representative of flic Roukawa riding was the noteworthy feature of the Hawke's Bay county elections, Mr. R. Harding winning the seat hy the small margin of four votes. The “(lid identities” (Albert) Hotel, Wellington, is now being torn down, and js rapidly disappearing under the operations of the demolishers. Such are I,ho piles of dust which have accumulated in the ancient wooden structure, that from time to time the ruins have to lie sprayed with a hose to make it possible for the men to work.
