AIR LINER DAMAGED
HOLD-UP AT BAGDAD LONDON, May 1. An air liner, carrying mads and the first non-official .passengers to London from Karachi, fouled barbed-wire entanglements and tore a wing when landing here, says the Bagdad correspondent of the Times, necessitating delay while repairs were effected. When taking off again for Gaza, it fouled tho protruding plate of a submerged petrol tank, breaking off its tail skid, and damaging the fuselage. It was impossible then to continue the flight, and no spare machine is at present available.
