BLAZE ON STEAMER
GOLDEN EAGLE DAMAGED
(Beceived May 11, 10 a.m.) - NEWCASTLE, May 11
A destructive fire occurred on board the steamer Golden Eagle, bound for Honolulu, this afternoon. Tho firemen were hampered by dense smoke and fumes. The vessel took a deeided list before the fire was controlled.
