INEFFICIENT TUG

BLUFF BOARD’S TROUBLE It .is reported from Bluff that the Bluff Harbor Board’s tug Southland, which cost approximately £43,0C0, has been tied up indefinitely. It is stated that the trouble appears to be in the engines, which have proved unreliable, causing delay or dislocation in the Stewart Island service. Last year, the Stewart Island service cost the hoard JJ4COO. The Southland has been replaced by the old tug Theresa Ward.
