BANK CAR LOOTED

The First National Bank’s armored car failed to hold money against 10 determined bandits, who decamped with. £20,000, just after daylight. The pay-roll truck entered Hudson street, which was deserted, except for a» milk wagon. Two bandit cars came from tho rear and- waited until the milkman returned from the delivery of his order. The bandits then confronted the milkman with guns and warned him to stand still in silence. Then the banditt cars sped fonvard and whirled in ahead of the truck, forcing it to the kerb. The. robbers fired several volleys, which smashed the plate-glass window itr front of the truck and wounded the driver, who slumped in his seat. Then, attacking the-rear door, they machinedrilled a hole large enough for a bandit to insert, his arm and-unlatch the lock. Residents were just beginning to taka notice of the shooting when the robbers decamped.
