“MORAL COWARDS”
QHILDLESS PEOPLE MUSSOLINI’S NEW ATTACK (United Service.) * LONDON, December 12. Signor Mussolini 'has subscribed £llO to a fund which a newspaper is raising for the purpose of helping the. needytparents of maqy children-. He wished the gift to be' considered as a moral acknowledgement of the newspaper’s initiative in honoring parents with many children, and holding them up as aa example to other persons purposely sterile, nearly all. of whom belonged ta the so-called upper classes, which -were richer but morally cowardly. ' Without 'the prolific working men’s families, grave decline in the birthrate is threatening, and the nation! would reach, .the extreme phase," he added. “This must be repeated anti shouted aloud, even if .it is a bitter! _ truth. • There are many things dangerous on the face of the earth, from tigers ■ t.o' malarial -mosquitoes, but one .danger surpasses all, namely, stupid optimism.”
