Rum's orchestra of five players will supply the music, while a daiuty supper will lie served. !! is stated that seldom do birds bred at sea secure such creditable results as those obtained by the entries of Captain C. Cbldicutt, of the coastal steamer Fakura. Captain Cbldicutt entered throe canaries in the Wellington show .and secured two firsts and one second. The birds were born and bred at sea, and live in a small cage on (be bridge deck of the steamer. Tlio over-crowded condition of the 'J'olngft Bay school at present was referred to in a, letter to the Hawke's Bay F.ducation Board at its monthly meeting us Napier on Friday from the Tolaga Bay School Committee, which applied for the appointment of an additional assistant teacher. The matter was referred to also by. the senior inspector, who stated that already there was a teacher for whom there was no separate room, and what was really needed was another room. It was resolved to make application for an additional room.
