OBITUARY
MRS. L. NEWMAN Much sympathy will lie extended to the relatives of Mrs. L. Newman, who passed away at midnight last night. The late Mrs. Newman was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Allen, formerly of Gisborne, and a little over two years ago married Mr. L. Newman, a well-known settler of Waimata. tier dealh occurred' after ninny hours of critical illness. She ieft an infant daughter, Janet. The parents of the late Mrs. Newman are now resident in New Plymouth. MRS. J. GOODALL Apparently well on the way to recovery from' a major operation, Mrs. Margaret Lenore (Norah) Goodall, wife of Mr. Jas. Goodall, of Bushmere, collapsed suddenly dn Saturday morning, and died after a few minutes The iate Mrs. Goodall was a highlyesteemed resident of Bushmere, and her death occasioned much sorrow. The daughter of Mr. C. K. Lange, of Matawhero, §he had at the death of her mother undertaken the upbringing of a family of live younger children, and accomplished her task admirably. Later she married Mr. Goodall, a respected settler of the Bushmere district, who is left with live young children, the eldest being 13 years. The near relatives of the deceased lady are Messrs C. E. Lange (father), Ted, Norman, and A. H. Lange (brothers), and Mesdames Westell and Bartels (sisters). SAID PASHA Australian and N Z. Press Association LONDON, July 21. The death is announced of Said Pasha, who was twice Prime Minister of Egypt.
