A well-attended special general meet ing of the Poverty Bay Poultry Association was presided over by Mr. 0. V. Church. , .

Keen disappointment was expressed at the inability of Mr. Jarrctt, the Government poultry instructor, to visit Cisbornc during shew week. the secretary was instructed to advise I he department of the association's disappointment, and to urge that Mr. Jarrett he sent to this district at the earliest possible moment. It was decided to adopt, the valuation of plant as arrived at. by a special committee set up by the chairman, and the treasurer and auditor were instructed to adjust the accounts accordingly. No depreciation is to be written oil' this year. Various additions ami amendments U> the A. and I', schedule were agreed upon. The following names were nominated from which a selection will be made lo act as judges at the poultry section of the A. and !'. show : Mr. G, Ambler (Auckland); Mr. A. I'aliner (Palmerston North), and Mr. I • Dpig Wellington)! For the pigeon section Messrs." J Harvey and J. Alexander wen- nominated. All exhibitors are to obtain their passes direct. Mr. W. Traue was appointed as the association s delegate to the A. and P. Society. In response to a request that the association express its views on the suggestion that the A. and P. show be held in the autumn instead of the spring, it was decided to advise that body that it would be impossible from the poultry fanciers' point of view, as all the adult stock would be in the moult and VOrV few of the young stock would he sufficiently advanced for showing. It was decided to write to the owner of a cage bird which was lost at the recent show, expressing the association's regret, and to refund the entry fee. H was also decided to replace the bird. It was pointed out that the regulations under which all birds are exhibited lay down that all care bill no responsibility is taken.

A notice of motion wa.s lodged for the amendment of the show regulations.
