A cablegram, from Berlin or. April 13 stated: The belief that all speed records may be beaten by a "rocket" car appeal's hi a statement issued by the Opel Motor Company. H claims'that Max YaHer, nicknamed the "Fantastic Cosmic Flier," owing to bis idea of building a rocket which could be shot into space, has inyented a motor car driven like a rocket by combustivo powder, instead of petrol. 'The company says the motor car obtained a speed qi 100 kilometre:, (more than 60 miles) an hour within eight seconds of starting. An attempt will shortly die made to break Captain Malcolm Campbell's record, which will necessitate the rocket car travelling on a railway track. Trio company says the machine'is only a step toward the rocket air machine, which will be able to reach higher altitudes than have ever been attained without a crew in the machine. It is convinced that such a machine will even this year penetrate space.
