NEW VITAMIN FOUND
CONTROLLER OF FERTILITY LONDON. March 3. Dr. S. G Wilhmntt, speaking at the Dalston Literary Institute, said that a new vitamin, known as vitamin E, had been discovered by a Californian professor, who controlled thereby fertility in animals. ' Dogs deprived of this vitamin were not. reproductive, and it had been definitely established that it was able to control 1 tho reproductive capacity of the female. It was foimd in certain oils and in lettuce. "It does not follow, of course, that this vitamin will affect human beings,' added Dr. Willimott, "but there is the possibility. Possibly it may be found that there are d'fferent vitamins for males and females."
Modern research pointed to the possibility of the existence of quite another set of vitamins as yet unknown.
