It will be noticed from an announcement in this issue that Mr. G. Stock, who some five years ago retired from active busiress, has resumed the practice of his profession as a barrister and solicitor. He has taken into partnership his son, Mr. A. J. Stock, and the business will bo carried on under the firm name of Messrs. G. and A. J- Stock. Good fortune appears to have attended the efforts of Gisborno sports enthusiasts to raise a considerablp sum of money toward the expenses of Miss Norma Wilson, at the 1928 Olympic (Lames. Though the final appeal was launched less than a week ago, a number of handsome donations have been received by the committee, and it is estimated that the funds now in hand will be equivalent to half the expenses of tho district's representative on the Olympic team.
