LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS The Bank of New Zealand has received from its London office advice concerning the state of the markets at the close of last week's business, as lotlows : For butter, the market is slow at 166 s to 168 s per cwt; cheese is steady at 96s to 97s per cwt In the meat markets, the demand for heavyweight wether mutton was good, while for ewes the market was more active owing to shorter supplies from the Argentine Ihe demand for lamb had improved, and tho present iates were expected to continue, prospects being generally good. The market is short of beef supplies and prices are nominal. Mutton and bee were quoted as under: Wethers, light 5M to 7-jd. heavy 4|d to■ 5W per lb j ewes 4id to skl per lb; lambs, twos 9id to 9kl, eights B*d to Bkl, lours 8d to Bid; seconds, BJ,di to 83d per lb; ox hinds. 4Ad to 5d per lb; ox fores 3£d to 4d per lb; cow hinds, 4|d to 4kl per lb cow fores, 3kl to 3J,d per lb.
