GOLDEN WEDDING

WILSON’S TRIUMPH LONDON, April 4. The National Union of Seamen entertained its president, Mr. Havelock Wilson, at luncheon and presented him with a golden bowl and serviette rings on the occasion of his golden wedding. Mr. Havelock Wilson said it was nonsense to suggest that the union would go down when he retired. It was one of the'finest trade unions in the world, and its reputation was never higher. He, as president, had had a strenuous 12 months, but bis policy had triumphed, and it. would continue to prevail wherever British seamen went.
