LIGHTHOUSE SHIPS’ CREWS (Received Feb. 22, noon). BRISBANE, Feb. 22. 'flie secretary of the Queensland branch of the Seamen’s Union, says the union has accepted ns a direct challenge the Commonwealth Government’s intention to man lighthouse steamers with ex-naval ratings. He says the Government will find the union has a lot of cards up its sleeve, and will not take the action lying down. He hoped the Government would carefully consider the position before taking the action it. proposed.
