COMMONS RESUMES WORK (N.Z., and A.P.A., and Sun.' (Received Nov. 9,2 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 8. The House of Commons’ autumn session opened without ceremony. Sir Philip Gunliffe-Listcr, in answer to a question, said that for the quarter ended September 80, British imports from Russia were £7,<100,000, compared with £0,400,000 in the same quarter of 1920. Exports to Russia in the same periods were £1,022,000 and £1,200,000, and re-exports £BOO,OOO and £2,200,000. Air. Baldwin announced that the Bill enfranchising women over the age of 21 years would not he introduced before Christmas. Air. Baldwin's motion for preference to Government business tlaxughont the session was carried by 269 votes to 128. Mr. Ramsay MacDonald and Mr. Lloyd George protested, demanfling opportunities to discuss questions such as unemployment, the coal position, naval disarmament, and the new' Prayer Book. Air. Baldwin undertook to try and find the opportunities demanded.
