MORE EVIDENCE TAKEN (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Evidence was given before the Education Committee in the House by Mr.. H. McHaigli, formerly a teacher in New South Wales, who said the system of religious instruction there was not satisfactory. Mr. Crcswell, headmaster of Wellington College, opposed the Bill strongly on behalf of the teachers of secondary schools. Mr. A. R. Atkinson addressed the committee .at length in opposition. After lie had spoken for an hour and a half the chairman asked him to finish in 10 minutes, but he said it • was impossible, as he was not much more than half way through...
