STALLED ON CROSSING

TRAIN RUNS INTO CAR /Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Shortly after 0 o’clock this morning a wir containing John Richardson, M. Sevcrinscn,. and W. J. Christensen, all of Makaretu, stalled and stopped on a level crossing in the heart of the town, and a train from Waipukurau carried it a chain. All except Sevcrinscn escaped with minor injuries, hut he was badly knocked about and removed to hospital. The car was a total wreck and was strewn along the railway track.
