NEW WEST COAST MINE
TRIAL KI N OK COAL IN FLUME (Per Press Association.) WESTPOR'I, last night. A trial run of coal m tile Westport Cascade Coal Mining Co.’s llume, miles in length down Cascade Creek, was made to-day, and proved highly successful, over a LOU tons being landed at the bintis in the Bn Her (Jorge in perfect condition. The coal, which is bituminous and hard, , bore the voyage well, showing no sign of deterioration. It is intended to erect at the mine face binns to hold 1000 tons of coal, those at tlie railway siding at Boiler (Jorge hnvirig a capacity of 300 tons. Ail the coal the comp.Tnv can produce for some time to come is already on order, the field being, an extension across Cascade ('reek of that from which the Westport Coal Co.’s coal is mined.
