POVERTY BAY CLUB There was a good attendance of bowlers at Paltridge’s green on Saturday, when the club pairs were advanced a further stage. Somervell and Ranger (sul). for Morrison) beat Andrew and Shaun, after a very close game. In the next round Somervell and Curteis are level, with six heads to be finished next Saturday, and time will then be available for the final game with Hickman and Slight to be played the same day. The club fours linal is to be played on Thursday, and the Thursday section of the pairs the following week. The following are Saturday’s scores: Ranger (sub.) and Somervell 16 beat Shaun and Andrew 10.
