FARMER DROPS DEAD. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night. Thomas Telford, of Otauomohio, near Bakiutha, dropped dead on Monday afternoon. The deceased, who was 64 years of age, was one of a- famdy who owned a large tract of country from Otanoihomo to Waiweia, including Clifton. INJURE!) MAN IDENTIFIED. ' WELLINGTON, last night. The man who was knocked down by a motor-car on the Hutt road on Saturday evening, receiving head, injuries .and being admitted to hospital in an Unconscious condition, has been identified as Sydney Petonc. When approaching the crossihgj Russell slowed doWn and, thinking the" line clear Went ahead and the front wheels of the car were just on the line when the engine struck the front of the car, almost completely wrecking it. Neither Russell nor his companion were thrown out and had a remarkable escape from serious injury.
