Amid the thunder of farewell guns, cheers, and handclaps from the inhabitants thronging the foreshores and bastions, the Renown sailed, escorted by aeroplanes and a destroyer t'otilla. All other warships in the harbor dressed and , manned, their companies cheering as the Renown passed.
