THE FRENCH EMBARGO NEGOTIATIONS FAIL (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) PARIS,, June 10. The Frerleh coal embargo, after & brief postponement, comes into operation to-day. Earl Crewe, as a' last effort, consulted M. Brian d, who pointed out that Government action was imperative, as the pitheads were choked with coal, and unrestricted importation would mean increased unemployment among the French miners. He promised to grant British exporters license to the fullest extent possible.
