The following is a copy of a cablegram sent to lilt' president of the Marylobono Club: “The people of New Zealand deeply appreciate the hospitality extended to our representative cricketers by the historic iMtuylebono Chili at the commencement of the tour. The following reply was received from the president of the Marvlebonc Club: “The Marvlebonc Cricket. Club deeply appreciate the message front the people of New Zealand contained in your cable. We are glad of the opportunity of extending a welcome and hospitality to the New Zealand team, and vc are confident that its visit will have effects reaching far beyond the cricket field. (Signed) President Marylebnne Club.”

The following cablegram was sent to Mr, Douglas Hay, manager of the New Zealand cricket team: “At the commencement of the tour of our first New Zealand cricket team in Britain the best wishes of the people of New Zealand are extended to every member of the party. We are confident that the Dnmonion will be worthily represented. Kia Ora. —(Signed) J. G. Coates.” COMP LIME Nl' AR Y OR ITT OS. CHRISTCHURCH, last night. The secretary of the N.Z. Cricket Association has received the following cablegram from London: “The Marvlebonc Cricket Club heartily reciprocates vour greeting. It is a real pleasure to use to entertain the New Zealand team and help in every possible way. We realise that you rejoice with us that cricket is doing so much to cement the comradeship of England - and the Dominion.” ’The following cablegram has been received bv tin* N.Z. Cricket, Ltd., from Mr. D. Hay, manager of the New Zealand team: “4(10, a wonderful da\. Blunt. Mills, Page and Dempster went early in a bunch. Dacre followed and opened with five consecutive fours. .Tamos made Ml with Dacre, a valuable score. 'The Daevc-Lowry and Lowry McGill - were great partnerships. The feature of the day was the forceful batting. Critics are very complimentin' and the crowd was obvi.ousl* pleased". Hope to have Aleolt in aelitm in a month.”
