CANTERBURY CAVALRY DEPOT (British Official Wireless). Tice. 1 p.m. LONDON, May .11. The King lias approved of the abolition of the cavalry depot at Canterbury, to take effect from June 13. An Army order which makes Hus announcement states that arrangements ' liave- been made for all recruits enlisting for cavalry of the line to be despatched direct from the place of enlistment to Ihe regiments at Home with winch they will undergo their recruit training. From June- 1 cavalry personnel arriving from abroad who would have been sent to file cavalry depot m accordance with the King's regulations will he sent to cavalry regiments at Home under instructions to be issued by the officer in-charge of cavalry records, Gan ter bun - .
