REVENUE FROM RAILWAYS (Special to the Herald.) . AUCKLAND, this day. “All that I "can say at the moment ie that the year has been a fair one,” said the Prime Minister, Mr. J. G. Coates, with reference to the accounts of the Railway Departmeent. for the past year. “I know that the revenue is a record for the Dominion, but, as always seems to happen, the costs were much greater, and the enhanced returns have had a big set off.” Mr. Coates said the accounts were still in the hands of the auditors, and until the audit was completed details would not be available.
