DATES FOR TRIAL, MATCHES. JAPANESE VISIT NOT FAVOItBD. (Per Press Associations WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Rugby Union met yesterday and decided that a visit from a Japanese Kugby team would not benefit New Zealand Rugby. The following dates for trial matches were arranged: — August 6: Wanganui and Taranaki v. Wellington and Manawhenua, at Wanganui. September 21: Hawke's Hay, Poven> Bay, and East Coast v. Wairarapa and Hush Union, at Napier. September 24: North Auckland and Auckland v. Thames Valley, Waikato, Hay of Plenty, and King Country, at Auckland. September 17: Nelson, Marlborough, and Golden Hay v. Huiler, West Ooast, and West port. September 24: Canterbury, South Canterbury, and Ashburton v. Otago, North Otago, and Southland, at Dunedin. October J : North Island v. South Istand, at Wellington.
