KILLED 500 PEOPLE
"RED" EXECUTIONER DIES
(Sydney Sun Cables.) (Received January 18, 1 p.m.) MOSCOW, January 17.
Shabin, a former Bolshevik executioner, died in prison, having been sentenced to 10 years' gaol for embezzlement. In five years Shabin's executions exceeded 500. He was an expert shut with the revolver, with which executions in Russia are still carried out.
The condemned man is st ripped except for an undershirt, and' shot through the back of the head.
