'BUS OVERTURNS
THREE PERSONS INJURED MELBOURNE, Jan. 4. Carrying six passengers, a privatelyowned motor bus overturned near St. Kilda "Junction this morning. The driver of the bus, R. Thickens, of Best street, Reservoir, declared that the bus was struck from behind by a city tram. A passenger in the bus, however, said that the rear wheel of the bus collapsed before the tram collided with it. Whatever the cause of tho original accident, the tram crashed into the rear of the bue and forced it side on until it was thrown on its side, facing tho opposite direction to which it had been going. Passengers and the driver were thrown one against tho other, and one man was caught with his bead under the front portion of the bus. All the windows of the vehicles wer e shattered. Three injured people were sent to hospital.
