BOLSHEVISM IN CHINA REPLY TO LLOYD GEORGE Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, Dec. 7. Lord Birkenhead, speaking at Northampton, declared that Mr. Lloyd George's statement, that the elements behind the' movement in Southern China wcr'o not Bolshevik in origin, waa untrue.
"I say that," he said, "with a knowledge of all tho official papers circulated by the Foreign Office. I predict that Mr. Lloyd George's speech will be circulated in China and make the task of British statesmen moro difficult." He added that it was not Britain's purpose to engage in war with China and she could not conceive anyone who was anxious for another war. The Government's only concern was to safeguard its citizens and trade.
