GISEORNE CLUB TOURNEY The Gishomc Tennis Club's handicap tournament is promoting keen interest among club members, and the first-round gamps in the various sections have been closely followed. Saturday was a field day for the handicap players, tho weather permitting play up to a late hour, for the first; time since' the declaration of tha handicaps. Results of the games played to date are:— MEN'S HANDICAP DOUBLES First round. —Vincent and Richdale beat Dixon and Barnard; Blathwayto and Mlrfield beat Walker and llaldane; Seddou and Fulton beat Salmon and Dent; N. H. Bull and Williams beat C. It. Bull and Stock. Second round. —Bull and Williamson beat Mnrgoliouth and D. Chrisp. The ladies' handicap singles, first round, have not been completed. MEN'S SINGLES Willoe'k heat Carruthcrs; Thomson beat Walker; Seddon beat Dent; Mnrgoliouth beat Richdale; Fulton beat Brabant; Lancaster beat llaldane; Blathwayte beat Dixon; Chrisp beat Bees.' COMBINED DOUBLES Mrs. Wells and Wells beat Miss Partridge and Dent; Mrs. Burke and Willock beat Miss Tiffen and Walker; Miss Steel and Fulton beat Miss Muir and Dr. Kahlenberg; Miss Bull and Thomson beat Miss Cuniming and Allison; Miss Graham and White beat Miss McKenzie and Chrisp. j
