ENGLISH PROHIBITIONS PROPOSED REMOVAL , •Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. ' LONDON, Dec. 4. The" Roman Catholic Relief Bill, "a measure of justice to remove longstanding trivial disabilities," was passed by tho House of Commons; without division. • Prohibitions thus removed, which 1 are mostly of ancient origin, include the exercising of a Roman Catholic rite or ceremony outside the place of worship or a private house; appear-j ing in public in the habit of an Order; officiating as priest in any, place of worship with bell or steeple; keeping books on tho Roman Catholic, ritual; giving property to an abbey or.convent; making a trust for tho benefit of a Roman Catholic Order; and tho entrance of monastic Orders into England. The Bill has yet to pass the House of Lords. Lord Halifax, leader of the English High Church party, says:—"l am very grieved about it."
