DANISH ECONOMIC CRISIS
A LEVY ON CAPITAL? COPENHAGEN, Oct. 22. In order to alleviate the serious economic crisis through which Danish industry is passing, the Government lias submitted a bill to support distressed industries, either through direct loans or else through a State guarantee for loans. It is also intended to double the existing export credit. Another hill provides increased support for the unemployed, and it is proposed to get the necessary money through a special levy oil capital to the amount of 40,000,000 kroner, According to tho proposals, the direct support fo industry, will amount to 23,000,000 kroner, and guarantees will be given to an amount of 300,000,000 kroner,
