The New Zealand Loan'and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., lias received a cablegram from its London office intimating that the company will hold its annual meeting in I/mdon on December 9. The revenue account shows that after paying taxes £53 ,492 3s lOd, writing oil premises £IO,OCO, making provision forbad and doubtful debts, and charging debenture and stock interest, there is a balance of £135,640 13s sd. A sum of £IO,OOO has been appropriated to the staff benevolent fund, and interim dividends paid on preference and ordinary stock, and dividends now proposed to he paid, will absorb £120,000. After including the amount brought forward from last year, £39.645 12s IGd, there will he £45,286 6s 3d to be -carried forward. The dividends proposed are a final dividend on preference stock of per cent., and on ordinary stock a final dividend of 4 per cent., both less 2s in {-lie £ in respect- of English income tax.
