STRANGE SHOOTING
PROFESSOR FIRED AT (Australian and N.Z. Cabl« Association.) LONDON, Nov. 25. Professor Y. A. Hewins, well known in connection with economic subjects, was sitting with his wife in the dining-room of their bouse in Chester Square when a revolver was fired at the house. The bullet was ddtfleetcd by the iron railing and went through the basement kitchen window. The professor rushed to the front door and saw a woman disappearing. He says they have no enemies so far as they know. . His wife heard firing in the square during the night a week ago. The police insist on protection being provided night and day
