ADVISORY BOARD PROPOSAL, (Per Press Association.} WELLINGTON, last night At meeting of tli, ? N.Z. Rugby Union to-night, at which Mr.S. S. Dean presided, the following cable messages were received from Mr. Wl'ay, representative of the. N.Z. Rugby Union to the English Rugby Union :—"The International Board has resolved -that the Advisory Board proposal cannot be placed on tho agenda, on November 13, so the introduction of tln< question at the conference would in all probability be ruled out of order. Would New Zealand, Australia and Africa agree to stand firm together and instmict their delegates to withdraw from the conference if discussion is refused." This message was received on November 3. i Another cable message received on i October 26 from the English Rugby Union stated that the International Board intimated that the Advisory Board question was outside the scope of tho invitation and had been deleted from the agenda, and asked: "Are you taking any action?" Mr Dean moved that advice having been received that tho forthcoming Imperial Conference will not allow any discussion regarding the formation of an Imperial Advisory Board, failing any discussion thereon being allowed, then this Union instructs its delegates to withdraw from the conference; that the New South Wales and South African unions bo cabled this decision asking them to act accordingly, and cable their delegates advising them of their decision. Mr T. A. Fletcher seconded the motion, which was carried Tinammously.
