MILITARY CADETSHIPS

NEW ZEALAND APPOINTEES ' (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Two vacant cadet ships for New Zealand youths at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, have been filled by the selection of G. H. Wooller. Auckland, and J. It. Page, Mosgiel. They have to leave on November 25. This is the second selection under the new- system, which supersedes the more expensive method of sending youngsters to Duntroon, in Australia. There were 30 applicants. Previous appointees were very hospitably treated in England, and the Defence Department has received excellent reports on them.
