The e.onomie sub-committee of tho Imperial Conference appointed to examine the desire for more complete wool statistics, 'reported that they had been impressed with the argument that the collection aud publication of Empire .statistics, in the absence of foreign figures, would place the foreign producers and users in a position of advantage, and therefore recommended a, resolution that the Imperial Conference, moved by the need for more, complete, uniform and prompt statistics regarding production, stocks and consumption of wool throughout the world, recommends that suitable steps should be taken to secure the co-operation of foreign countries in this connection, and that the Umpire Governments consider measures to ensure the provision and publication of said statistics, provided the foreign countries materially concerned take similar action.
