The much boasted Manawatn Show, claimed by enthusiastic Palmerston North citizens as the biggest and best in the country, must bow its proud head to the Hawke's Bay fixture held annually at Tomoana, for although tho southern exhibition attracted a record crowd this year, the attendance fell below that of the Hawke's Bay show, the respective total gate takings being Hawke's Bav, £1363, Manawatu £1276. —Hastings Tribune.
